it seems to me that the upper case/lower case of the first letter of the username is not checked properly and it allowed for a duplicate account .

It is checked properly, account (=user) names are case sensitive.

i only registered for an account once, have no clue why it worked to log in with the one starting with lowercase.

if you somehow find out what it is and need to delete one of the accounts then it should be the one starting with lowercase , that is the one that didn't have subscription bonus at first, but it somehow got it on it after i made a new character.
i will only play on the one starting with upper case from now on.
also you can close the topic if you want it seems to work for me at least.

PS:after trying to make a new character i realized that i've mistaken the region bonus symbol with subscription bonus so the subscription bonus was only for the account with the uppercase.

is it possible to check the email address for both and see if they match? maybe i had an account just like that long time ago and i forgot about it.

apparently doesn't work.. i can't seem to get character name Witgang on the account starting with uppercase.
i first thought it was because it was already existing on the account starting with lowercase, but i killed that one and still does not let me make it.

A dead character is still a character as it, when inheriting, counts as an ancestor.

Use another name for the new one, in case you're fond of the old name either set a presentation name (the one shown toward the other characters) or use the same name but with a space at the end (resulting in 'deadcharactername ', add another space each time you manage to also kill off the 'charactername ' or his/her descendants).

apparently i didn't knew about the graveyard, and since i will die a lot until i learn not to i may run out of characters to keep the name ...
