Hmm yeah seems to work like softcapping now. Last tested a few days ago, didn't bother to look into it since.

It's not softcapping. It's averaging and rounding down. When you have 50 units of q50 swill and add 1 unit of q49 you will get 51 units of q49.98 which is rounded down to 49. But if, instead you add 1 unit of q100 swill then you will get q50.98 swill, which is rounded down back to 50.

In general everytime you add something of lower quality you will decrease the overall quality. Most of the times you add something of higher quality the overall quality will not change.

all my chicken starved to death in 1 night.... i have a coop full of food, maybe the hogs and cattle eat it up....

Okay, my chicken quality started to raise slowly but steadily (due to careful swill management, I didn't place my coop anywhere near cattle and never fill it up, keep it at 50-100 points); and now only the gluttony problem persists -- after each 2 eggs/egg hatchings/chicks maturing I have to place another 50 food or so.

Oh, and this night one of my chicken (of the few remaining initial ones lvl 10) died for no reason. Old age implemented? o_O

my chickens also dropped q a bit. also. can we get the swill to average with ingredients put in? kinda upset that 1. ONE q 10-10-10 can bring down q 20-20-20 to 10-10-10. that makes no sense whatsoever.

no, just hide this decimals, like you are Ms Excel or something....

i think it is good way, we won't floor quality down in other formulas too

And then have bug reports asking why qualities behave in unexpected manners due to unforseen roundings? Moreover preventing players from actually determining their qualities?
