Thanks a bunch JinxDevona. My issue is probably very related to theirs, as I'm on a mac.

Confirm that Litaskull's solution worked for me. It's a bad solution because I have to run old Java, but it works.

After the first line it asks for a password, but doesn't allow me to type. Am I missing something?

Terminal doesn't use symbols to hide password, just type it blind and press enter.

Thank you kindly litaskull for all the help. I'm confirming as well that this worked for me too. I just hope it is only a temporary fix.

This includes replacing java with old version, which lowers security of your mac, so H&H devs should still fix the issue with latest version of java.

First, download and install this:
https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_US

After it's installed, open terminal, and type this commands one by one:

Code: Select all
sudo mkdir -p /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/disabled

Code: Select all
sudo mv /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/disabled

Code: Select all
sudo ln -sf /System/Library/Java/Support/Deploy.bundle/Contents/Resources/JavaPlugin2_NPAPI.plugin /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin

Code: Select all
sudo ln -sf /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Commands/javaws /usr/bin/javaws

Now I remember! We used to do the same for Salem.. It sucks tho..
Thanks litaskull for the temporary fix.

EDIT: Well FUCK! Now I have this crappy old Java, and can't use other games because of it. And H&H is down. FIX THIS THING, it's impossible we have to downgrade Java to play!

Same issue, can't play and I can't downgrade as well as I need new java for other programs as well (including legacy haven).

I hope there will be fix soon... :(

It's funny how they care so little about the Mac users (or they would have fixed it in Salem too), when usually Apple users are the ones more prone to spend money..

Well I verified my account just to at least repay them for old haven, but if this is going to stay unplayable with java 1.8 I will just quit this.

Dunno if any of devs are actually reading this and aware of this issue...

They are aware of the issue, but the lack of interest shown really puts things in prospective.. For sure I'm not paying anything until it gets updated.. if it ever will..
