I don't seem to be having an issue with my A6 and 4 GB RAM. I'll note I'm not in the middle of a large village, though, and not trying to record.

I've heard similar stories from other nvidia users

There's been some weird issues with computers that should be able to run the game without any issues. Yours isn't the first odd report I've seen about performance issues.

What would the best way to test this be?

This is what it looks like for me.

On the left it shows my current gfx card. On the right you can see the framerate and GPU usage go up and down from just selecting havens window. You can do this while in game too and you'll see the GPU should have a a constant usage. If its flat and your radeon selected then its using the intel. I've rarely used radeon and intergrated graphics so I'm hoping it works as simple as this.

Without OBS running and just haven
40 fps

In the second image you can see a drop where I was in another window, but then I let it sit on just the haven window for a bit to get a more steady reading

Haven is definitely using the radeon.

I was counting on it being the intel cause that could explain the slowdowns, specifically if you are using your cpu for both encoding and GPU it would explain the slowdowns in game.(Maybe because of memory bandwidth being used by both integrated gfx and CPU encoding)

The only other thing I can think of is your system memory running at its highest speed? If you have DDR3 1600 is it running at the 1600? Sometimes the BIOS can screw that up after crashes and default to something slower like 1066.

Would this be the screen you're looking for?

No what I mean is the system memory on your motherboard.

On my older system my DDR3 runs at 1600 but I over clock my CPU from 2.6 to 3.2 which means messing with BIOS setting to get the 3.2.

Sometimes my system can crash and its sometimes sets the DDR3 speed back to a default value to 1066.

I was thinking maybe the memory on your motherboard defaulted back to a slower speed.

I'm having problems finding that information on my computer, Google has been no help :p

This might be helpful in some way

My 2nd monitor is running through intel, I need an adapter to plug it into the gfx card

I use a little program called cpu-z http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html and this is what the memory tab looks like on my pc.
Clipboard Image (4).png

Dram frequency in 800Mhz and since its DDR that is 1600 actual.

You can also select the SPD tab and it will tell some info of the memory installed.
