Browser: autohaven.jnlp brings up XML but no game

Clicking PLAY at the top downloads a file "autohaven.jnlp". Opening this files brings up a webpage with the following:

You need the java plugin in the browser, in case you just installed java: try to restart the browser.

If someone under linux has this prob with openjdk (like i had) Install icedtea-web

Restarted browser (Chrome), of course had NAPI (or whatever the hell it's called, enabled Java, Flash, etc. Restarted PC too. Same thing happens each time.

Tried IE 11 (cuz can't use Edge), downloading Firefox now. Firefox doesn't work either.

My PC (if it helps):

i5-4670k
8GB RAM
GTX 770 2GB

In case you just installed firefox you have to reinstall java so that it integrates the extension there, after that it should work.

I manually installed Java (again), restarted my entire PC.

I hit PLAY.

I get a pop up box:

Opening autohaven

What should Firefox do with this file?

Open with Firefox?

I hit OK

Tabs keep opening and looping to open autohaven over and over and over...

I am at a loss. Please tell me EXACTLY what program opens and runs this .jnlp file?

If it's a Windows 10 problem, I can live with that. But so far I've gotten "install Java" and that's been done quite a few times now.

You should associate .jnlp with Java Web Start Launcher
On my W764 i find it at:

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_31\bin\javaws.exe

Maybe it's the same with W10 or not (no idea), but javaws.exe should be somewhere on your system.
