Jumping into Shallow Water

If you climb a cliff from shallow water, when you get to the top of the cliff your movement speed is limited as if you were in shallow water still. It stays like this until you go back in the water and reexit normally it seems.

You also get this weird animation where you're stuck in the ground for a tile.

If you jump off a cliff into shallow water, you can move at the speed you had selected before (i.e sprint), however the animation cycle remains the same and is just sped up.

You automatically go into walk if you try to change your speed once in the water.

It looks fucking hilarious, try it out.

If you climb a cliff while standing in shallow water, the game seems to continue thinking that you're in the water when you reach the top, unable to switch from walk speed initially. It seems to revert to normal when you cycle your movement speed, but then when I get back into the water I'm able to run/sprint. Seems that water/cliffs have weird interactions.

Edit: Yeah, able to sprint full speed through any amount of shallow water with no stamina loss if I decend from a cliff into the water while at sprinting speed.

Also, returns to normal when changing equipment.

You may remember I posted about jumping off a cliff into shallow water earlier on this board

While jumping off a cliff into shallow water allows you to run at the speed you were at before, jumping up a cliff out of shallow water locks you into the speed you were at in the water, usually walk.
The animation for walking is the same but the speed option has the last 2 greyed out as if you were in the water. Drinking and changing the speed from walk to crawl or vice versa solved the problem.
