We've made good loom (no idea what q exactly, but >10). Got q5 gauze from q10 wool (dex * sewing > 23 * 11). Is it ok and we're missing something, or quality formula is broken?

It seems as though my loom has reduced the quality of a piece of wool from 10, 10, 10 to 7, 7, 7 when making gauze even though the loom is higher quality than 10 and my sewing and dex are higher than 10. Is there something I'm missing?
Testing cannot reproduce. Our suspicion is that you assume that the quality works as in old haven, where wood q was irrelevant. This is not the case.
Loom seems to have proper qualities, and testing yields intended results.
