been turning this thing manually for 10mins. no progress on bar. tried twice, seems buged.

I guess i'll update this after I let it sit and cook without turning. if it cooks that way or not.

Edit:

burned an hour or so, half the fuel used. it didn't cook itself either.

Keep trying to turn, if the timer doesn't move that's a problem. The meat becomes good when the red Chicken/Rabbit darkens.

I've used many spits above ground fine, I know how it works lol. but in the cave it doesn't seem to work. got another 20mins to go for an hour to pass while its sitting there cooking unturned. i'll try turning it again after that, though the definition of insanity tells me that I shouldn't expect it to work.

Put out the fire, light it again. I've had the same issue in the overworld

never place a spit above a burning fire.

place one above an empty fire, then light that fire.

No need to turn it. It finishes automatically if you leave it be. Turning is more an afk thing if you really want it done. It's still pretty slow.

yeah but i let it sit there for an hour, and turning it for 10mins didn't tick down the hourglass at all, I've cooked other meat a lot faster then that.
