Fight to the death when taming

Postby krelker » Tue Sep 15, 2015 8:28 pm

Tried to beat my cow today, but it fought till the death... After some time i noticed olive appeared after my punch, but only for a second, then swords again. Somehow intended?

I'd need steps to reproduce or confirmations before I can do anything.

I watched a village member try and tame a cow, I saw the yellow numbers for taming float up in a 0, but the cow's still trying to beat his ass and eventually the cow died without ever going peaceful

Well, in that case the cow had most likely yielded, and got pissed because someone hit it after it had yielded.

happened with me as well. Aggroed a cow, started the fight. used normal punches, checking for passiveness after each one. At no point did the cow go passive, yield or any taming numbers float up.

Similar thing happened with a boar in the wild as well, it never went into flee mode.

Both times they could not path to me initially when combat started but when we were actually fighting they could both path to me and away from me freely.

Second attempt, the olive-window is enought long for finishing the fight. Just watch carefully, it lasts 1-2 seconds.

Or set yourself to yield as soon as the fight starts.
