If you build a spitroast on a fire that is already burning, the spitroast won't work until you put the fire out and restart.

If it's a bug, it has just showed up as I've not had any issues prior to getting the spitroasted meat to cook properly, whether I added the meat to the spit before or after I lit the fire, and in a few minutes if I turn it manually.

Ah, its not only when you light the fire, it's also when you place the spitroast. I did it again to confirm, if you place a new spitroast, on a fire that is already lit, you have to put the fire out then restart the fire to get it going.

Edit: to be fair, it is a minor thing.
