Swimming when server crash = death

today my character evangili1 was swimming happily in a river while i was going with a friend of mine to a certain village. i was swimming through the river and YEAH the server crashes. when i am able to reconnect evangili1 doesnt excist and my friend sends me the image of my former self lying in the bottom of the river...... (we were travelling 4 hours btw). solution? (i would prefer havign a support option to send this but...) i DOTN want to travel again for 4 hours and i lost my good character (im new to this game), is there a way to spawn near a ceratin location like u could during haven and hearth 1? (i know you could do this only from yt)

Unfortunately, this is an alpha grade game. Think of it as early release, or some other means of conveying that bugs occur, crashes occur, and the devs do their best to prevent or fix said problems, but there isn't a viable means of restoring any losses due to those errors. Take great caution when travelling, and always avoid water, even by boat, but especially swimming. Many have known death to server crashes while boating.

If you wish to see a dev comment on such matters, I'm sure jorb will come around and say that there's nothing they can or will do, but you can see basically the same thing here:
