If you give a clover to a Auroch(Mouflon unconfirmed yet)while riding a horse, the clover dosnt disappear and stays in your hand ,and you can pick the aurochs hair

Hair can always be picked. Not a bug.

The hitbox of the horse is too big for a mouflon to get close enough to eat the clover.

As Jorb already stated, which you might not have understood, is that you can pull hair no matter if you have given the aurochs a clover or not.

Not really, only update was that you can't pull a hair when the auroch is dead anymore.
What a clover lets you do on an auroch is
-put a rope/leash on them, which you right click onto a hitching post to start the taming proccess
-grab a bucket and right click a clover-fed auroch to get 2L of auroch meat.
For sheep, a clover lets you shear them for wool.

Another thing to note, whether or not you feed an auroch a clover, if you pick their hair, there is always a possibility that it will aggro and attack you, so it's best to be careful before taking that option. (as in having a place to run away to, or having high enough uc that you can combat an auroch.)

Now that would be a neat trick, huh?

I do believe you meant to say "milk" though.
