Why is the game a laggy shitheap [SOLVED]

Like 1-2 second lags between clicks in some cases

Using Windows 7



Nothing open but the haven client and teamspeak I'll get around 25-30 fps, maybe more if I'm in a house with nothing inside
Step outside and I drop to 20 at best

Turn on my Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) which is optimized as best it possibly can be and I get on average 13 fps running around my base and 20-25 in houses
I'm able to run this recording software with nearly every other game on my computer with very very minimal fps loss

If people or stockpiles are on my screen the fps goes down even more
I've tried some programs like AVG's PC tune-up to minimize background programs slowing things down but I've seen no difference

Why do objects ingame drop FPS to hard?
My fiancee actually can't play the game at all because she gets 2 minute+ black load screens

Is the lag still there when you're not using OBS?

Get a client with simplified crops. I also have a strong pc and same thing but the simplified crops helps a lot. One would have thought moving to 3D would alleviate the crop thingie.

Shadows are off, simple crops and curios are on

I'd like to say that it is using radeon but I'm paving trouble checking
Nvidia cards seem to make it easy but my AMD has no real answers online

I've been looking for a few hours now.
If you have any suggestions on how to easily check I'm all ears

The lag is not as apparent, but my FPS are still low af and gets even lower when I'm in densely populated areas

Ping test brought back an average of 286ms

I'm not sure what to do about that, as far as I know the servers haven't moved since old haven so did I actually play with nearly 300 ping since 2011?
Battleping or something like that might help? But programs like that require you to path to the .exe of the game usually which I'm not sure how to do with haven which is a .jar

You can install MSI afterburner and that should tell you your GPU load.

If you want to get drastic you can remove the radeon card temporarily, load up a client and see if even runs and if it does, is the FPS way worse or is it the same. If its doesn't load or runs even worse then its using the radeon when its installed.

All this is pointless if it turns out to be OBS. Is your CPU maxed when you use OBS? Do you record to your system drive?

I cant even get OBS to record the amber client on my system at all so Im glad you got that to work.

You can also try and raise its priority. In windows task manager right click the javaw.exe process on the process tab, it should be taking about 500 to 1gig of ram and put its priority to a higher setting. I dont see this as having an effect but its worth a try. This may effect OBS too.

280ms isnt that bad for a game like this, its just under a 3rd of a second delay.

Are you connecting with a wireless connection? Is there anyone else on your network that might saturate it causing you lag?

IS the lag all the time or only during low FPS? Do the low FPS and lag always occur at the same time?

did you try to play without your bots-scripts client ?

like, test it on default client, or other public clients with no crops and other things....
