Bugged animals can't be butchered

Might be quite digging here to post this but:

Yesterday, I was hunting on a horse some foxes. I was butchering them right after killing blow. 1 of them after getting meat out, did not turn into bones. (glitched, no options, just fox corpse without skin).

Today, I was again hunting foxes / badgers and transporting them with the boats. Again, one of foxes after getting butchered out of meat, did not turn into bones.



Also, saw that one of villages had kicked out skin-less dead cow with no option to butcher or anything.

Got a deer I just came upon that can't be butchered. I know this is a bit moot since the world's ending soon..but, perhaps this is just a reminder of the existing issue that seems perplexing..

This just happened to me.
I was butchering it then my inv was full, so went away from butchering.
when I walked back (was still on same screne) it was unbutcherable.

Any time I've ever had this issue it was after I've skinned the carcass and left it.

I don't know if these have been suggested, but I'm thinking they can be possible causes:

1: After a decay tick, the server code treats the skinned carcass as an untouched one and is somehow corrupted being saved as the wrong object

2: It could be unexpected in the server code that the player skins an animal, leaves it sitting there, and logs out before a decay tick causing the area to be unloaded.

3: Mix of 1 and 2

I'd say it's 3 because I can envision a situation where reloading an area with a skinned carcass that's being treated as an untouched carcass could cause problems when updating decay ticks on said carcass

I have an idea for a way to reproduce the bug, will update with results when I find a subject to test on

Edit: test failed, will try with multiple animals sooner or later

Just for say, you still can destroy the corpse if you do another animal get blocked by the dead body.

The more secure version is to lift it in shallows and log out for a second.

Steps which we butchered that mammoth.
1. Skinned 4 hides - made a stockpile from it
2. Butchered Intestines, entrails and 25 meat (all meat?) and butchering process stopped(by game)
3. Mammoth is no longer usable...



Our bones ql 230 are gone! Loftar why?!

Just had this happen with a Boar while out hunting. Stopped butchering mid-meat, and neither the original butcherer nor myself could continue butchering the animal.
