So troll coding it looks like confirmed. I've been trying to find a post I road some days ago about a guy complaining because hitched animals were destroying anything in their path. Wild animals act in the same way: if you lure and trap a boar or a bear they tend to charge in straight line and break whatever breakeable its in their path.
Ok, thats just a part of it. I'm not posting pics because I don't want to share my location.
Pallisades are not focusable or destroyable by creeps, or those animals at least, nor the rocks. So the easy way to tame animals is surrounding them in palli and rocks, leaving an orifice to place a hearthfire, wich is either not focusable. This way you can easily avoid Sevenless guide and use a simple mechanic like "hit the animal through your hf and run 'till its tamed or semitamed".
Then, the reason I'm explaining this is because if you place any item in the area where the animal is traped, even if its in the oposite side where you are standing, the animal will focus it and destroy it. I'm not talking about the animal making a path through objects: I'm talking about an animal hitting anything at its reach when its enraged or in agressive mode.
