Mining natural gallery breaks suspension of disbelief

Natual galleries that you 'open' when mining are defect, since they can open areas that you know are closed.

Image

Green line: Tiles dug by me prior the gallery 'opening'
Yellow circle: Tile dug
Yellow line: Gallery 'opened'
Red circles: Tiles prior closed that 'opened' - which they shouldn't have.

Please fix this, it dosn't make sense.

It's just minesweeper? Are the red tiles showing cavein signs or what? Then it's bugged otherwise not.

Go mining a while and you'll encounter tiles that, when mined, open up tunnels.

Galleries should be pre-generated and trigger from any tile it contains.

I know how they work. Go play minesweeper and you'll understand why they open up. I thought it was buggy but I guess not.

Has nobody ever played minesweeper? :O

In case you relate to how minesweeper opens up areas without bombs:

I want to see you face when you mine into <long sought after ore of your choice> and a good part of it vanishes because there are no unstable tiles in it.

So no, I don't think that the galleries work like the safe space uncovery in minesweeper, at least the stone dozend galleries I have opened didn't seem to work that way. Should you be right then I would request Loftar and Jorb return to the drawing board since mining is about resources, not empty space.

Wait what? I don't understand the problem at all. The red tiles disappeared and became cave tiles, but so what? Why shouldn't a gallery be able to traverse your tunnels?

It should be able to traverse our tunnels, it just shouldn't have to be inexistent until you mine a tile at one end rather than at any intersecting point.

Well, that's not how it works, though. They are calculcated when generated, and before that they don't exist, so what you are asking is not possible.
