Mining natural gallery breaks suspension of disbelief

Here's an interesting one it's the first time I've had this happen:



The circled tile was not ore/stone but rather a caved-in tile and not only that, the gallery decided to jump over the paved tile and through a support in to the unmined area...

Because, as mentioned in the title, the ones that connect into already explored areas break suspension of disbelief.

So fixing it as outlined here, which should be straightforward to implement and wouldn't remove the ability to expand on the mechanic later (like spawning things inside the 'newly discovered' gallery), would turn a defect that annoys more often than not into something interesting.
