Discovering same item second time

Is it a bug or a new feature. i discovered leather again even though I had discovered it long time ago and i even have leather realated recipes.

You did not discover leather but rather the super-type for leather and hard leather called "any leather" which we recently added to make stockpiles work. Not a bug.
