With stat caps does it really matter? Besides for me personally I would rather bury the dead than leave them rotting all over. It may be moral attitude or aesthetics either way it seems proper. But in your sense I think you speaking of warriors. In which case they usually cart off their enemies anyway or destroy them. So that's enough punishment.

how about build a funeral pire you put a fleshy body on and light it, when its done you get the skelie (quicker than decay time) any items left on body burn up with it.

Bodies will decay anywhere. Caution about letting bodies decay inside, though, or you could get this: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=46983#p612634

It was about 20 hours for me.
