Basicly
I found out you can lit a miner's helm if you use a torch even if you never (ever) put a candle in it. (ou vilage does not have wax yet)
I do not think this is intended and I could not find a report for such tool (perhaps because this helmet is not used much)
for finding a bug of such importance I expect nothing less then an infinite stream of capes with a big K on it. =)

Has anybody ever wasted wax on a Miner's Helm, other than to see what it's like (and never doing it again afterwards)?

My guess is that as long as the server dosn't do checks for lighting and deals out harsh punishments when you try to mine in darkness... none will.

I like having light in caves, but wax is far, far too valuable to waste for a short-term visual effect (plus I need my head slot for the bear cape while mining).
