One could argue that it'd need a skill to know how to kill a domestic animal. Not sure what's wrong with the current situation, otherwise.

It is afaik intended so you can slaughter the results of fox/badger fight early world.

I can cut up a animal without the slightest clue how to catch one, but doing it might raise the idea that it is a good idea to go hunting (= LP from discovery used to buy hunting).
