Snowman melts immediately after built

I just wanted to see my friendly snowman. like going back to childhood however when I just built my snowman it did not appeared and fucked my childhood time. is this intended?
oh I also built it inside of cave.

I think it can be warm underground for all times. Even if it can be cold up outside.

Funny, but I noticed the exact same thing today when I tried to build my own snowman. Will be fixed.

Also, could you possibly make snow last slightly longer in your inventory, atm it's like 4/5 mins, I hadn't realised it was so quick to melt and continued exploring only to lose it all, could you maybe make it 15 mins?

And, I love the sound of walking on snow, could we have footprints? They could last x amount of time and then disappear, as if covered by falling snow, it would be fun to track both ppl and animals. :D

Particularly useful for me, hehe >.>

And yeah, snow could last a little longer - I agree... Especially if you're still on a snow/mountain biome, it should start decaying when you leave the mountain :3 or perhaps not decay on stockpiles if they're on the mountain (since it makes sense for it to melt on your backpack)
