Frame Rate issues tied to Animals?

Postby MrCrow93 » Thu Apr 14, 2016 4:04 pm

So I've been having this weird issue where my frame rate stays at a constant 5-6 fps while outside my tower inside my palisade. My frame rate has never been an issue before but after one of the more recent updates I noticed a drop in performance. What is strange though, is it only seems to happen around my encampment. Say I logout and back in a map tile away from my camp then the frames are normal, inside caves and buildings as well. I think it may have to do with our animals but Im not sure. It's not the worst issue but it makes my tasks as a farmer take much longer than normal and its really just a pain. Any tips and advice are greatly appreciated.

Im not sure and it really depends if your on a high end or low end computer or you have 32 bit java or 64 bit java or that your client is making you lag. Lag in this game sometimes just appears for no reason at all so It could be alot of things. And if your using the default client. Use this one. http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=40400&hilit=amber

It should reduce lag and is generally better.

Yeah I failed to mention I'm using 64 bit java. The lag happens on both the amber and vanilla clients. I have an asus G73 laptop with amd 5870 gpu. It's frustrating because there's no lag or poor framerate anywhere but at my home.

Are you using simple crops?

I am not but I will give it a shot. I did turn off all the bells and whistles though, in terms of graphics.

Not sure this is a bug per se. Might be subject to further optimizations.

Yeah I don't think it's a bug I just thought people might have some suggestions. Like I said I'm fairly certain it's tied to the amount of livestock we have.
Also simple crops has been activated and only got a frame or two more efficient. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
