I have several hearth fires belonging to alts that have long since passed and bodies decayed, why are the hearth fires still lit and require criminal acts to remove?

The alts were used in killing a troll they are most certainly dead.

doubtful as they have remained for at least a week now if not longer

no destroyed them but I took the skulls for... reasons

The alt was killed by a bat and a troll but when it died its Hearth Fire still burns dark green and then a few minutes later it went light and now its dark green again, I even had 3 people confirm the hf as my alts.
Pictures will be added once the troll is killed.

Still lit as in one that is supposed to be lit compared to the one that isn't? I did notice if you display hearth fire names the alt hearth fires while lit show you no name over them
