Can't make Tanning Fluid

I died recently and have been working back up to my former character's level. I was going to make some tanning fluid because my tubs were running low, but I looked and I couldn't make it. I checked the wiki and it said that everything should work. So what's happening?
I'm not saying I'm right. I'm saying you're wrong

fill tanning tub with water and left click in bark, 10 bark for a full tub if water is max I believe.

You don't make tanning fluid anymore, you just throw 40L of water and four pieces of bark directly into the tub.
Total misplay.
