How the fuck are you meant to tame animals when they can't peace you now? 2 animals dead due to not peacing from this latest patch. GG Loftar

Um, these changes really shouldn't affect that. I'll have to check it out.

Same, sheep didn't peace so I couldn't hitch it, RIP.
I don't think it'd make much sense luring them outside of my pali every time I want to tame them. Please fix

EDIT: Ok, so after making a slightly larger area for taming, it seems to work well. All good

Scratch that last edit. It seems like the animals randomly choose whether to peace or not. I've gotten a horse through 2 taming sessions, and on the 3rd is died. The taming area is big enough for it to decide to flee, if that might've been the issue.
This happens with cows and sheep as well. Please look at this loftar, it's extremely frustrating.

Giving this a selfish bump, because a lot of people struggle with taming atm.
Even in ideal conditions (plenty of space, peace'd the target, a lot of space to flee, only using punches), the animal still dies 75% of the time.

Either this is an issue with the new fleeing conditions (seems like animals randomly flee or fight you now, which might be tied to the fact why you sometimes get +15% of taming done, sometimes not), or the current SHP/HHP animal damage system, i do not know.
But it is extremly irritating, to wait for hours or days for your horse to get to 85% and then see it die.

Do you seriously neglect an issue like this? I've been trying to tame animals all day every day and the grand majority of them die.
Sometimes I get through 2 session and on the third they die. Sometimes they die on the first one. Sometimes they feel like fleeing and sometimes they feel like being a hero and dying.
I've tried moving them around, giving them more space, but it seems very random and dumb.

Not even a comment on this major issue??

It seems fine to me but I tame my animals in a very big open palisade in stead of hearth fire traps or fences.

Do you have 100% success? They never decide to not peace?
I'll give it a shot, I guess, but it's a shame I can't use a fenced area.
