Don't get me wrong here. I'm not saying it shouldn't be fixed. I think a better fix would be to allow scent harvesting from the edge of the object built, no matter what it is. I imagine that would be more complex, though. From a programming perspective, it would require some inheriting of the properties of the scent to the building that sits on it. Upside to going this route would be any items that a player can't get to because of a bounding box would now be harvestable. That's easier said than done, though, I think.
