I was in a cave and this bat seemed to have unlimited health. Is it regening more damage than im dealing?

Might be an underflow glitch (highly unlikely) but it's probably just used Vampirism to gain hp back.

ive never experienced this before and straigh after i fought another bat normally

This is client bug, not game.
Wrong damage calculation after vampirism.

Does the bug happen in vanilla?
