"Can't find the name of Intel ICD OpenGL Driver"

Postby xiaok » Sat Feb 11, 2017 7:09 am

I'm getting an error stating "Can't find the name of Intel ICD OpenGL Driver" when I try to run the game.

I've found an Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 under device manager. Just received a pretty long update from Microsoft. Under event history it shows device migrating and driver service added, but does not give me the option to roll back to previous driver update.

I tried using Intel's driver update utility and it tells me the driver I have installed is not validated for this computer. It states that I should obtain the appropriate driver from the manufacturer. Intel is the manufacturer...?

I've noticed it seems to happen regardless if I use the original client or Amber client.

Windows 10 Home
Version: 10.0.14393 Build 14393

Processor: Intel Core i7-6500 CPU @2.5GHz
Driver Version:10.0.14393.0
Doesn't allow to roll back and says it is the most recent update.
I found on the Intel website, version 15.45.14.4590, but when I install it I get an error saying that the version is incompatible with my computer.

Java: Version 8 Update 121 (build 1.8.0_121-b13)

Display: Intel HD Graphics 520
Driver Version: 21.20.16.4550
I can update to the current version (21.20.16.4541) but the error still happens

ASUS Laptop

Model: X556UAM
64 bit

Error is triggered by attempting to execute the original client.
It is worth mentioning this error only started happening immediately after a mandatory Windows update, which took quite a while.

I found this thread on Haven forums. My issue is slightly different as I ONLY have integrated graphics.

I would suggest going to a restore point from before the update. Sometimes updates don't install correctly and cause issues.

It's not giving me any restore points to go back to except for one that was made today about 3 hours ago.

Thank you for your time helping me Borka.
I'm unsure which driver would resolve this issue? I'm guessing it's a graphical issue because of what is stated on the error message.

Well I went with the VGA Driver and started to run it but immediately was stopped by an error message stating that the driver is not validated for this computer. It is directly from that page you linked to me.

So I manually installed the driver from the website you gave me, looks like the client is working! Thank you very much Borka, +1 from me :)

But now when I enter the game I can only move once and then my character is stuck in position. I am unable to walk anywhere else. I can use the user interface but I can't move my character?? I must be so prone to unluckiness.
