Strange Q Bug

I have a character planting Q489 carrots we found and harvested. Oddly, when those are harvested, the Q isn't going down, and in some cases is actually increasing on the next harvest. I presume this is in no way functioning as intended?

Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

my crops do the same thing, if you plant it, it doesnt decrease in qa. It just stays the same, i dont think this is a bug.

I'm pretty sure that there is a small chance that crops will stay the same q even if your farming is lower that the q. But this seems to be happening far more often than intended.

There were some farming changes at the beginning of the world. I'd have to dig up patch notes for specifics, but no, in general, you're not going to lose Q on plant or harvest. There is a chance it will go down, and a smaller chance it'll move up.

Yeah, IIRC we one way or another tried to make it so that you don't completely nuke the quality if you're a useless noob helping out at the farm. Suspecting that this isn't a bug.

Is that also supposed to happen?

At the very least I think it could be possible, but it's hard to tell given how the case is not presented in any particular detail.
