Other than that give more information you can and wait for the cavalry.
P.S. You can also do some test that last indefinately to check if the connection to the server is ok during time, look for the help in the console.

This bug only happens in windows, because it is a bad operating system and they have changed something that causes the launcher to intervene with the client, even though this should be impossible, as they are completely different processes, or they should be, according to the java API.

Looks like shubla is aware of the issue. I don't know what the status of this problem is, or what he may need to potentially fix it. Linux is a free download and can be easily installed to a small to moderate sized thumb drive so that you can play games like Haven without dealing with Windows.
