Cannot grind dried pepper drupes

I had started to grind all the pepper I pulled off my workbench. The first batch ground with a quern just fine. The second batch, doing the absolute same thing are not grinding. I get the animation, but the drupes in my inventory do not turn to pepper. I have twenty eight drupes that were boiled and then dried currently in inventory. I am not too tired to grind.

I logged and relogged when the problem occurred to see if that fixed it.

Have to say that pepper works really strange here.
Pepper dupes always check free space in inventory before craft will finish. This way they cant be crafted if you have no free slots in inventory.
All others crafts will be crafted into your hand, or just replaced ingredients with finished craft.
Cant say it's a bug, but really like pepper dupes have old crafting mechanics from legacy.

My take on this is that pepper iirc has no inworld item, thus crafting without free slots would destroy it silently.
Hence the different mechanic.
