Kiln will not light

I have built multiple kilns on grassland and stone, loaded them with sticks and when I try to light them I right click the kiln and the firebrand just sits there on the screen until it burns out. I can light a fire pit no problem the firebrand disappears when I right click and character lights the fire. There is no attempt to light the kiln when I do the same thing. The firebrand just sits there when I right click. Wasting many hours on this. Any help?

Have you tried other sources of fire — hearth magic, torches, irrlights, etc?

Are you using the native HnH client?

I am using Amber Client but I tried it without the client and it still didn't work. Using Hearth Magic worked. Any ideas?
