Quest giver

I have a quest to greet a boulder but when i right click to greet my only option is to chip at stone?

Are you sure the quest is to greet? Isn't it "wave at", or the like? Use the emotes.

Sure that's the right boulder and the quest target isn't underground? Sometimes the spirits can align in this way.

i tried waving. the quest is to "greet". and no i don't believe its underground the way the arrow points right to the boulder im in front of.

I logged in as you, and you are a good ways away from the quest giver, because I sure can't be arsed to walk to it. I suspect you tried to greet the stone who gave you the quest.

I stated that, and now that I read your response, I recall they added an indicator to show it's above or below you. I'm an idiot.

The quest pointer now changes both graphically and in terms of tooltip to indicate that a quest giver is underground, as soon as you get close enough that you would otherwise have seen the quest giver. Implicitly suggested by a million bug reports, and here.

you were right. i tried to greet the stone that gave me the quest. sorry for the bother and thank you for helping me.
