I caught 5 fish with only losing 2 bait, and I'm 95% sure that was to the "fish escaped with your bait" events. Fished in the river that was touching the ocean shallows and it used bait 1:1

Right now I'm wondering if it's an edge case scenario. The node was peaked in river, but extended slightly into the ocean. I was fishing on ocean shallows that directly bordered deep river.

May look at it if others report the same, but seems minor.

Kinda makes sense, i've caught multiple fish with one bait irl before. Happened to me in-game too but once i think i got 3-4 with one bait which definitely seems weird.
Total misplay.
