Killed by yarrow?

So half my hp was missing thanks to midges and hedgehogs when I got beat up by a bear. I was almost dead.

When I applied yarrow to one of my wounds, my character died. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think yarrow is supposed to take hp away? Here's a pic of my wounds:

You probably had some wound that just got worse and killed u

Nope. I just posted a screenshot of my wounds before and after death. The only difference is "yarr", which is supposed to replace a wound as far as I know.
