Wildhorse hide in tanning tubs

I cant seem to put patches of wildhorse hide in tanning tubs to turn them into leather. I believe I have put other kinds of patches of hides in there before, but it has been a while so I am not sure. Cant seem to find any info on it either way.

You cannot tan patches of hide. They can be used in any "dried hide" craft, just not leather production.

yeah patches are like ruined scraps so you cant make leather anymore
