Sheep can't be tamed further, won't despawn

I have been trying to tame mouflons, but I've encountered what seems to be a bug.
Situation: I have been taming 2 mouflons recently: One is now at 95% (hitched him before April 20th), the other is at 15%, hitched at ~3 AM Tuesday the 23rd.
I check them for taming sessions every 2 to 3 hours.
The last time I got to fight and tame the 95% mouflon was 8 AM Sunday if my memory is correct.

This means that the last time I tamed the 95% mouf was well over 24 hours ago. At some point I didn't want to check up on them anymore. They're still hitched, being all calm.
I re-hitched them Tuesday afternoon to see if this would somehow "reset" them, didn't seem to do anything.
What do? I don't want to spend another week checking every 2 hours for a mouflon to maybe become a sheep.

I think some update or patch might've messed with in-progress tamings and now they don't progress anymore?
