Crafting to barrels

I have 2 barrels, one with milk and one with white dye.
I craft white dye while both of them are open.
Dye drops to the ground.
It should go to the barrel with white dye!

Edit: It kept crafting and then dropping dye to the ground, dye dropped so hitbox of barrel blocks it.
Really?

Amusingly, exactly 1 year and 2 days later I'm having the same issue!
Fix pls!
