Credo, Hunter "Put an arrow in a beaver" Bug?

The Hunter's Trail: Put an arrow in a beaver.
After shooting a beaver 3 times with my bow, with both stone and bone arrow it, it didn't complete the quest.

1. Sure you hit the animal?

2. Sure it was a beaver and not an otter? I can hardly tell the two apart despite having killed both multiple times.

If you are using Amber client, put on hit boxes, shift+B, to make sure you aren't missing the target.

Get a crap quality bow and arrows, the lowest you can make. The lower the quality, the faster it aims.

Aggro, then click the portrait in the top right to start aiming. Click the portrait again to shoot it after the bar gets 60+ percent.

Also, make sure this:

Yer i am sure it was a not a otter as i spent a hour the day before hunting for a otter as i through that was the beaver.
I did hit the beaver with two arrow arrows but i guess i can try again.

Thanks for the follow-up. Sorry about the "have to ask" questions, but better to make sure that errors weren't made rather than spend time hunting for a bug that doesn't actually exist. So far, I haven't had an issue with "shoot a <animal> with an arrow" quests, but I've only done hunter a couple of times since it was introduced. There could be a one-off issue that needs to be tracked down, but without reliable leads, it's potentially a hunt for a red herring.

A wild guess but there might be some minimal distance, similar to archery target.
Beaver are harder to cheese but you might try following:
- aggro beaver while on a horse
- run away for a while
- start aiming in the direction beaver comes from
- shot him in the face when he is running at you
- repeat if needed
