"Crashes" how?

Crashes as in, the screen poofs away after a few seconds. There's no error message or anything like that.

The one with Quadro K2100M and 3200x1800 ?!? Display :o One of the very best displays i ever read in direct sunlight ... sadly not my machine ... 8-)

If not specify graphic chip and resolution please ...

If yes have you tried to lower desktop resolution before starting HnH? (besides with that display the intel graphics is disabled anyways)

Also what graphic drivers do you use? Windows update ones? Nvidia Consumer or Nvidia Pro* Drivers?

Java is 64 Bit :installed at Program Files (not Program Files(x86) ) ?

Did you try Amber client? If you do and it started resize to windowed mode ...

I solved the problem. I had an exclamation mark in my username and it confused Java.

On the forum I edited it out and wrote poppy instead to avoid doxing myself, which might explain why no one could seem to figure out what was wrong.

Re: unable to launch?

Hey, I really can't get this to work. I think it has something to do with the haven.jar or the java, but I've tried uninstalling both and re-installing. I've tried multiple clients as well (ender and amber). I've searched forums, and spent the last 2 days trying to troubleshoot this myself.
Using autohaven it checks all files and then launching. I see a java window open. But it's white/empty and unresponsive. I have to force quit.
Using ender client (updater), it does its thing then says launching client, then same problem. White/empty and unresponsive java window. Force quit.
I tried amber, and here at least I have an error message in terminal that I was able to include below.

Any clue to what it might be is much appreciated. I'm not sure what to look into at this point.

(I omitted the user directory for privacy)

I forgot to mention, I'm on a Mac. Runs on latest MacOs Catalina version 10.15.7 (19H2)
I installed java 8 and then JDK 15 for ender. I even updated my flash.

Noteworthy:
Haven and hearth worked fine on Saturday (without any special client). This was my first time playing haven and hearth in several years, and I really enjoyed picking it back up.
My Mac updated overnight. And I tried to give ender a go and downloaded JDK 15. I don't know what messed things up for me, from the Mac update, to the newer java, or possibly from trying to run the ender client. I've been unable to get a successful launch following Saturday.

Trying to run ender using /Users/Desktop/Haven\ And\ Hearth/updater-hafen.jar; exit;
I got
Code: Select all
-bash: /Users/Desktop/Haven And Hearth/updater-hafen.jar: Permission denied
logout
Saving session...
...copying shared history...
...saving history...truncating history files...
...completed.

I get almost exact same message when using this code for autohaven.
Trying chmod x+a to give permission doesn't help (pretty sure it messes up autohaven even, so I have to re-download).

(For future Mac users with a similar problem, to use amber I did the chmod x+a [directory] to set the permission for amber's run.command. Then I was able to get the error code in terminal, as shown in my previous post.)

Edit:
Also have this crash report after quitting the haven.Mainframe (the java window that is basically a crash)

It sounds like your problem would be related to this. Unfortunately, I still haven't found out any new information about it. But please do clarify: Did the default client use to work for you, and then changed to not work? Or was that just custom clients?

That's very weird, because the problem you point at looks very much like a problem with JOGL, and nothing about that should have changed in the meantime.

For now, would you mind testing the following alternative launcher:
http://game.havenandhearth.com/java/hafen-jogl-2.3.2-launcher.jar
It uses a slightly older and less experimental version of JOGL. That has some problems on its own, but it would be interesting to see if it helps with your problem.
