It is a 1x2 fish but doesn't count for quests

it always worked normally. are you sure it stopped?
In rare cases you can catch the pike which was dropped into the water by someone else, so your catch is not a true catch but more like trash.

Looks like this does not count to complete the quest with any big fish that is acquired through the water item pool.
