bat block the pass.
bat can not be attacked when stuck on the tree.
butt fly faster than player can run away or chaise it down.
bat still stuck on position even if u chop down a tree or remove stump dump at the location of the bat.

fix it.

mobs overall bypass player claims where usualy normal player are not allowed to move, this should be fixed. if player is not allowed to enter same thing should be applied to the mob path finding.

I was going to say that you can save your stamina and switch to sprint when bat flees, but that doesn't work in forest terrain where you seem to have the problem.

Simplest workaround is to kill bats in caves using the tip above and make "Bat Wing" -cape that will prevent bats from aggroing you unprovoked.

That does indeed sound like a design oversight.

Hearthling at speed 3 is slightly faster than bat. Fight on more advantageous terrain or use a horse (or in this season, a kicksled if outside). Even if it were faster than a hearthling, that's still not a bug - for example, lynx is crazy fast by design.

Players can walk onto claims if they have crime toggled on: (A)dventure -> (T)oggle -> (C)riminal Acts. It would be way too exploitable if animals couldn't move onto claims.
