Leashed animals despawning

Leashed a couple of aurochs. They were gone after a few hours. Figured i missed the window.
Was taming a new auroch. After 2 fights leashed it, and leashed a new wild auroch. Few hours later the new auroch is gone, old one still there.

They just seem to randomly despawn without giving a chance to tame. I think in addition to fixing this bug the time period for taming should be expanded. This is near impossible for a hermit with a full time job to accomplish without having to wake up in the middle of the night.

Is there any reason there should be a "window" at all, once they're ready to tame? Grown crops don't have a window before they disappear (except for the cancer season, sort of).

Tedium, for tedium's sake.

Some cows and mouflons despawned for us too, we didn't had the chance to fight them once. They were in a mine without a claim.

I agree, the window should be expanded or removed entirely. If you work a full time job you might not be able to get back to the computer for 16 hours from the time you sleep. It sucks having to set your alarm for 4am just to check.

16? I imagine home at 6pm, bed at 10pm is fairly typical for a full time job, which would be 20 hours. Any window less than 24 hours encourages unhealthy behaviours, but this seems to be by design, not accident.

I was being conservative. 24 hours is probably at the point of being reasonable.

Happened again. Leashed mouflon despawned roughly 4 hours after being leashed.
