Key disappeared trying to change palisade gate lock

Today, went to change the locks on my gates, held key, right click, key disappeared.
I am now locked inside my palisade. No key in belt, on ground, or in inventory.
EDIT:
seems like a custom client problem, launched default client, key appeared in hand.

Not a bug.
