Pig didn't port back while going for truffle

I don't know if intended or not.
I was porting back while my pig was ~15 tiles behind me going towards me. It turned out I was standing above truffle spot. I thought he was going to me (same direction). I ported, and my pig didn't. He went for truffles and stayed there. Leash broke and I had to walk 30 min and look for my pig. Hopefully I managed to find him otherwise my plotmates would kill me (was our highest q)
