Do local pools regenerate properly?

I know when the change happened they were "full" but now glimmermoss and flotsam just doesn't exist it seems. I've done a sweep of a large cave system several times in the last few hours and not a single piece has spawned. I've left plenty of time for the map to unload/reload and can confirm that's happened by other things spawning.

It's definitely just as bad as before, but if you live in an unused area, you should have a pool all to yourself.

idk, prior to this I could routinely get atleast 1-2 pieces doing a full crawl of our cave systems, I havne't seen a single glimmermoss in the last 2 days and I must have done atleast 12 sweeps

We went to an uncolonized part of a continent and found completely full pools.

if the problem is botting, devs should just do it similar to Experience system, that is, require some variety of game play, throw in some random factors in the formulae, it's not impossible to bot, but probably better than a pool

Isn't this basically what the fate system was in w8?

I guess pools are probably based on provinces then?

So to get pearls I would have to guess and do all kinds of things? Doesn't sound too good.

What was everyone's problem with fate anyway? I seem to recall it worked nicely enough that myself a s a hermit could still go out and get a bluebell and pearls every so often. Was it just a case of factions abusing it with too many characters and getting drastically further ahead?
