Patch: Unfermented Alcohol transmuted straight to vinegar

I was ~3-4 days in to fermenting 100L of mead must and 39L of grape juice. When I logged on today after the hat patch, all of it had become vinegar. I am fairly confident that I had checked them recently and that they were still mead must and grapejuice as of last night.
