Not sure when it broke, but you can no longer enter a cave from a 45 degree angle.

Gates in Salem do work similarly to what is shown in OP - you have to approach directly when right-clicking, with too much angle you just collide without successfully opening it.

Update: I tested/double-checked and Salem's gates actually work really well, even from extreme angles.

This comparison can be relevant because Salem is basically running on the same core engine as current Haven (or at least an older version of it, for example it lacks push-out.)

Seems its specific to near 45 angles. Entering from the side still works.
Guess the dev's did there usual low level testing on the new cave entry/exit hitboxes. "... It goes in. Perfect, Done.".

Wonder why the cave-entry hitbox is so much larger than the cave-exit hitbox. Can't be related to something visual, as the vanilla client has intentional no support to show them.
