problem with compost quality

Hi,

I put material for composting (quality 46) into my quality 53 composter—I should get quality 49.5 compost. Instead I received quality 46 . I don't know what the error is, as production is proceeding correctly in other compost bins; the problem affects the bins built today using black pine.

Where are you getting that formula from? The update that added compost bins has no mention of how the quality is calculated, and the wiki simply states that the quality of the bin soft caps the quality of the mulch. Based on the information you provided the mulch quality in the other bin does not appear to be correct either using your presumed formula.

True ... because until now all those compost bin's you used where of lower quality than the added compost.

But ... with your new, and for you first, quality compost bin that has a higher quality than the compost inside it ... the rule has changed.

put 10q seeds in 300q compost bin you get 10q mulch. put in 302q seeds, receive 301q mulch. always has been like this
